What is BookForm?
BookForm is a platform for online contact forms and appointment booking. You create forms in the browser, customise design and copy, and embed them on your website via link or iFrame – no coding required.
Do I need programming skills?
No. You configure fields, pages, design, notifications, and booking logic entirely in the admin area. For embedding, a copied iFrame snippet or direct link is enough.
How do I embed forms on my website?
Every form has a public URL and a ready-made iFrame snippet. This works with WordPress, TYPO3, Wix, and virtually any system that allows HTML or iFrames.
Does BookForm work with my calendar?
Yes. For appointments, BookForm uses iCal URLs for available and blocked times. Booked slots are sent by confirmation email including a calendar file (.ics) that can be imported into common calendars.
What does iCal mean?
It is a globally established standard format for calendar entries. Most calendar systems expose current events via an iCal web address (URL). BookForm uses iCal for several lookups: • the staff member’s calendar to determine blocked times • optionally: a dedicated calendar for available times • an iCal URL for a holiday calendar (e.g. https://schulferien.org)
Is BookForm GDPR compliant?
BookForm is hosted in the EU. You decide which data is collected, inform visitors in your privacy policy, and can control email delivery via your own SMTP server. Details on hosting and processing are in our legal notice.
Which languages are supported?
The visitor-facing form UI is available in German, English, French, and Italian – independent of your website language. Additional languages can be added free of charge on request.
Can I match the design to my website?
Yes. There are design themes plus custom design with colours, fonts, spacing, and borders – so the form fits your brand visually.
How does the trial work and what does BookForm cost?
You start with a 30-day free trial. After that, BookForm costs €29 per month or €290 per year. Existing forms stay online; without a valid subscription, new forms cannot be created.
Can I use my own mail server?
Yes. You can store SMTP credentials per form or globally. Alternatively, BookForm sends via Lettermint from noreply@bookform.eu – replies go to your configured form email address.
Are there any limitations?
You can create as many forms in BookForm as you need. For security, public forms on your website are limited to a maximum of 15 visitor requests per minute to prevent abuse.

Do I need Consolidate or a specific CRM?
No. BookForm works independently. Email notifications, XML attachments, and iCal integration work with most common systems – Consolidate is not required.

About us

BookForm was originally built for our sister company Consolidate – focused on simple, clear web forms and online appointment booking for Consolidate customers.

A key requirement along the way: digital sovereignty. All data and services must be operated within Europe – without involvement of a US company. That makes BookForm quite unique.

It quickly became clear that BookForm works equally well for users of other CRM/DMS solutions and that Consolidate is not required for successful use.

That is why we spun it off and now offer the product independently.

BookForm uses iCal URLs for availability and sends online form submissions by email to staff (optionally with form data as an XML attachment). This works with almost any calendar system that supports the iCal standard.

Forms are embedded easily via iFrame or as standalone links.

With custom design settings, forms fit seamlessly into almost any web design.
